Exciting day today as we launch our new caravans for 2020 – the Porthbeer range. Full details are on our website and we expect these to arrive at Little Trevothan in time for the start of next season if not before!
Available to book now for next year, as are all our caravans.
This does mean that we lose our Cadgwith range of caravans, which are due a happy retirement after 18 years service.
It was good to visit Little Trevothan again and catch up with owners Mark and Sue Martin who kindly agreed to show me around. What a difference a year makes and the changes here are very good. A new facilities block has been built with top grade internal fixtures and fittings and the finish is superb. The second block is due for the same treatment next year, which will make a real difference. Out on the park, new EHU have been added taking the total to 59 and further hardstandings have been created taking the total to 31. The grass was cut and the surrounding hedges, trees and shrubs were all looked good. The children’s play area has had new equipment and was clean and tidy; also there is a large games area for football, cricket etc. New roadways have been constructed which were really good. A very well managed and maintained park with a lot achieved in one year, well done to the hardworking owners.
I can confirm that the AA classification be raised to 4 Pennants this year with the quality score remaining at 82%.
We are absolutely thrilled to say that our top toilet/shower block has been officially opened this week at Little Trevothan Camping & Caravan Park. The hugest thanks go to our fab friends Jon Abrahamson and Martin Shurmer for hours, weeks and months of hard work over the winter and spring. Big thanks too to our Dave for all your work with the demolition, roofing and more. Thanks also go to our Jacqui, Mum, Sallie, May, Paul, Dani, Andrew for helping (some of you whilst on holiday!) We appreciate everyone’s help, support and advice, and the good news is that we’re half way there with just one more shower block to do .
Have a look at what we got up to over the winter …..
Originally created by coastguards patrolling the south west peninsula looking out for smugglers, the South West Coast Path covers an amazing 630 miles of coastal walks, starting at Minehead in Somerset and running along the coastline of Exmoor, North Devon, then following the entire coastline of Cornwall, back into Devon on the south coast into Dorset, ending at Poole Harbour.
We support the South West Coast Path at Little Trevothan, and it has been great to welcome so many walkers from many different countries this season. Some have arrived on their own, or with a friend, some with dogs, and some in groups. Some have arrived in camper vans, and others have pitched up a tent and spent a day or two (some longer) exploring the coast path around Coverack. All have had a fantastic time exploring the stunning coastline, have embraced the Cornish weather (hot or otherwise), and it has been a pleasure to meet you all.
We offer great nightly rates for hikers. If you fancy completing part of the 630 miles of coastal path around Coverack do stop by and see us at Little Trevothan where you will be assured of a warm welcome and a hot drink!
We are thrilled that Little Trevothan has been awarded the Trip Advisor 2017 Certificate of Excellence. Thank you to all our guests past, present and future, for all your wonderful reviews. Have a look at our bookings page and reserve your stay with us now!
