CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
You will be spoilt for choice as so many towns and villages put on a fabulous display of Christmas lights from the beginning of December. Here are just a few:
Coverack (of course!)
The Christmas Tree and Lights committee spend much of November untangling strings of Christmas lights and checking bulbs ready to decorate the village in early December. Always worth a visit, and the Village Stores is open every day until 5pm serving delicious hot chocolate! And of course the Paris pub remains open.
St Keverne
Just along the lane into the next village, St Keverne illuminates the square and Christmas tree, with both pubs adding their own displays.
Angarrack (new Hayle)
Well worth a visit, this community really know how to impress with The Twelve Days of Christmas throughout the village.
Penzance - Newlin - Mousehole
You won't be disappointed with this road trip. First through Penzance and onto Newlyn, then park up and walk down into Mousehole. Starting in 1963 with a couple of strings of lights, this display now extends down into the harbour and is probably the most visited display in Cornwall.
Helston
Helston is lovely to drive through, down Meneage Street and left into Coinagehall Street, these lights continue to impress every year.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS AND MORE
Truro
Cornwall's great little city packed with festive cheer, offers sparkling light displays, bustling Christmas markets and the iconic Cathedral at its heart. Running from Friday 22nd November until Christmas Eve, the Christmas Market in Truro is a must-visit for Christmas shoppers or browsers. Featuring local food, drink, art and crafts from Cornwall's finest traders. Wander through the alpine-style wooden cabins, enjoying street food and mulled wine, and take a photograph in the giant snow globe!
Trebah Garden
This December Trebah Garden is inviting families to an enchanting festive adventure with Santa himself. Journey into the gardens and help Santa track down his playful elves. Children can write letters to Santa, post them to the North Pole and then settle in for a heart-warming storytelling session inside Santa's magical log cabin. Followed by a festive photo and a special gift, this experience lasts 45 minutes and full-day access exploring the gardens.
