Little Trevothan Camping & Caravan Park is dog friendly, and we welcome well behaved dogs on all our camping and touring pitches, and some of our holiday caravans are dog-friendly too.
We have a dog exercise area on the park, and a one and a half acre field which is open in dry weather. We are ideally based for walks further afield, and dogs are allowed on the beach in Coverack at all times of the year. There is also a very useful website giving details of all dog-friendly beaches in Cornwall HERE.
Cornwall loves dogs, and they are allowed in many cafes, pubs and attractions. It is best to check before visiting, but locally your dog is welcome at The Paris, The Lifeboat House and Roskillys in Coverack, The White Hart and The Three Tuns in St Keverne, and Fat Apples Cafe in Porthallow.
We have Dog Friendly Cornwall brochures available in reception.
PARK RULES FOR DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS
♦ Any dog you bring must be supervised by and under the control of you, or of a responsible person in your party AT ALL TIMES. This means you may not leave any dog unsupervised in a tent, touring vehicle or holiday caravan or anywhere on the park at any time. We also advise that dogs are not left under the supervision of any person aged under 18.
♦ If you do not supervise and control your dog, we are likely to ask you to remove it from the park straight away. This is because we cannot allow the safety of others to be put at risk.
♦ Dogs are not permitted in the following areas of the park:
Playing Field
Toilet/Shower block
Washing up Area
Launderette
Games Room
Shop
♦ If you see a dog anywhere on the park which does not appear to be supervised by and under the control of a responsible person, or whose behaviour gives a cause for concern, please tell us straight away.
♦ Dogs must be exercised in the designated areas – you must not exercise your dog on the park.
♦ Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times, apart from in the exercise areas.
♦ You must clean up after your dog – bins are provided around the park and doggie bags are available in the shop.
♦ Please provide blankets for the holiday caravans if you allow your pet on the soft furnishings, and don't allow dogs in the bedrooms.
♦ We are unable to accept those breeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act.
♦ Nothing in these rules prevents you or any member of your party from bringing an assistance dog to Little Trevothan, or from using the dog exactly as at home, if this is required to support a disability, and Assistance Dogs UK or any successor body has issued an identification Book or other appropriate evidence.
Do let us know of any dog friendly places you have found locally through our Contact page, and if you would like photographs of your dog enjoying their stay at Little Trevothan featuring on our website and Facebook pages, please send your favourites to holidays@littletrevothan.co.uk.
"We have been to Little Trevothan several times and are always very satisfied with the cleanliness and tidyness of the site and its facilities. The location is perfect for us to travel around the Lizard and then come back to enjoy the peacefulness of the site. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Little Trevothan is very good value for money and we can't wait to come back again."
